Saint Elizabeth picked up its record setting 19th
win, raised their record to 5W-5L in the NEAC and extended their winning streak
to 7 games, best in program history, with a 25-19, 25-14, 25-21 victory over
the Wells College Express.
The Eagles pounded out 27 kills for the match and were in
control from the onset of each set.
Subhana Wrights and Katie Cooper led the team with 19 kills as the team
relied on their efficiency to stymie repeated Wells College runs (Wrights .375,
Cooper .200).
From the service line, the duo of Jenae Goodson and Nashly
Sokoli led the Eagles with 7 of the team’s 11 aces while Rachel Hausler and Amy
Cooper had 10 digs each defensively and Amy led a balanced offense with 23
assists.
The Eagles take on the Wildcats of SUNY IT in their last
match of the day at Lancaster Bible College as the squad tries to extend their
winning streak to 8 games and also push their record setting NEAC wins record
to 6.
