In the first set, the Screaming Eagles did not get off to a good start when they quickly fell behind 7-0 to the Bloodhounds from John Jay.  The Eagles were doomed early by unforced errors on offense.  Natasia Wilson got CSE going with a service ace, bringing the score to 9-3. The set went back and forth, with the Eagles clawing their way back to trail 22-21. Trailing by 2, Wrights once again came up big with a huge block at the net to tie the score up at 23.  Unfortunately for the Eagles, they were unable to overcome the deficit, dropping the set 27-25.
The second set started off much better for the Screaming Eagles, jumping out to an early 6-3 lead. Behind the great serving of Katie Cooper, The Eagles added 3 more to the score, now leading 9-3. CSE took a 16-5 lead when Stevens smashed a spike passed the Bloodhounds defenders. Kiana Cunningham also recorded an ace, as the Eagles poured it on to lead by 15. CSE continued their onslaught, taking the second set 25-9.

CSE kept the momentum going as they took 6 of the next 8 points to blow the set wide open at 17-5. While serving, Cunningham recorded another ace, giving the Eagles a 22-8 lead. The Eagles rode the momentum, taking set 3, 25-10.

The Eagles took 2 more points, closing out the match 25-12.
The Eagles improve to 14W-16L and will try to finish the season at .500 or above for the 3rd straight year as the team will try to win out the remaining 3 matches of the 2013 season.
