NEW RECORDS SET IN 2012

Multiple records were set in 2012 as single match and season records fell by the wayside in this historic season.


The team shattered the school record for number of wins (22) and winning % (.759) they had just set in 2011.

SINGLE MATCH HIGHLIGHTS:

Subhana Wrights became only the 2nd CSE player ever recognized among the NEAC All-Conference Selections. She was the overall statistical conference leader in blocks per set and #2 in total blocks but led in both categories within conference play.

After the 2012 campaign,  Subhana holds the 2nd and 3rd best total blocks in a single match (7).  She also jumped to #7 in total kills in a single match (16),  #3 in hitting % in a single match (.424),  #2 and #3 in total kills in a 4 set match (15) and #5 in 5 set matches (16).

Amy Cooper is now #2 in total assists in a single match, just 4 short of the #1 record, with 41. Amy also holds the #1 spot in 3 set total assists, the #2 slot in 4 set assists (39) and the #1 spot in 5 set total assists (41).

Rachel Hausler took over the #4 slot in total digs in a single match (32),  #3 in 3 set matches (22), #3 in 4 set matches (24) and #3 in 5 set matches with 32 digs.

SEASON HIGHLIGHTS:

Amy Cooper is the #2 in the total aces for a season (76), trailing only Assistant Coach Brittney Newberry. Katie Cooper currently holds the #3 spot.  Amy also holds the #3 record for aces per set (.78) yet again trailing Coach Britt who holds the 1 and 2 slot.

Rachel Hausler strengthened her hold on the total digs record by securing the #2 slot (430). Rachel also holds the #1 spot with 432 digs. Rachel is also #3 and 4 in digs/set with 4.15 and 4.1 digs/set. respectively.

Katie Cooper, who holds the #1 spot for total kills, added the #2 slot with 295 kills this season.  Subhana Wrights jumped to #4 while Kareemah Muhammad holds on to the #3 slot.  Katie and Subhana also hold the #2 and #4 slot respectively for kills/set (2.81 and 2.5 respectively).

Subhana has become the most efficient hitter in CSE history with a .227 hitting%.  She also holds the #4 slot. In addition, Subhana is now the all-time blocks leader in CSE history with 93 total blocks.  Teammate Ireyah Stevens jumped to #6 with 38 total blocks in 2012.

Likewise, Amy Cooper is now the #1 assists leader in total assists and assists per set in CSE history with a 710 assist season at a 7.32 digs/set, both records set in 2012.

Congratulations to the entire team for creating the environment by which all these broken records were possible.
